Going to Las Vegas for International Fight Week and UFC 290?
Here is our guide of some things and recommendations to do while in town!
When you arrive into Harry Reid International (Las Vegas airport) transportation to your hotel can be confusing.
You really have 5 options.
Taxi: Taxi to and from airport have set fees depending on how far your hotel is from the airport. If you use a credit card, be prepared for a credit card usage fee.
Uber/Lyft: Depending on the day and time one ride sharing service could be cheaper or more than the other. Play the game and go with who is cheaper BUT also know the fares posted for taxis above.
Rental Car: If you are staying on the strip the whole time, it is a waste of money in our opinion. With trams, monorails, underground transportation (select spots), Uber/Lyft, and taxis available its less hassle. You also have to watch if your hotel charges daily parking rates as well.
A family member or friend lives in Las Vegas and will pick you up.
Limo/Car transportation. Probably the most expensive way but hey its Vegas! We recommend Alex VIP Chauffeur and Limo Service. He is a friend of the page, is very professional, knowledgeable, and provides the best welcome and experience when you get in and leave Vegas. Text him for arrangements. (702) 513-1867. This include pick up and drop off, to and from hotel.
Hotels:
There really is a hotel/accommodation’s for all kinds of budgets.
Search expedia for rates with in your budget then directly go to hotels direct website to make sure you are getting the best deal.
Booking directly from hotels is usually the best way to go.
The companies with the most hotel options are MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment.
Where ever you decide to stay, make sure you have the hotels rewards card or signup for one upon arrival.
Where ever you choose, try to stick with that particular companies properties.
That is how you accrue the most rewards points to get maximum value for you during your stays and future stays.
Bill everything to your room where you can. This will ensure you get maximum rewards. If you can, a brands hotel may offer a credit card to gain more rewards with them. This helps rack the points tremendously.
Resorts have resort fees. They generally range from $19.99 to $44.99. Resort fees are to pay for a range of hotel amenities, such as pool use, gym access, towel services, Wi-Fi etc.
With MLIFE (MGM’s rewards card) you get those waived at gold status and above.
The hotels we really like are:
Spring and definitely Summer: (best pools)
Delano at Mandalay Bay (suites)
Signature at MGM Grand (suites)
Mandalay Bay
MGM Grand
*Mandalay Bay is furthest south on the strip but it is by far the best pool complex in all of Las Vegas in our opinion*
Fall/Winter
Vdara at Aria
Aria
Park MGM (centrally located to T-Mobile Arena)
Food Options/Quick Eats/Dinners
*If you take anything from this article this is one of them*
For ANY popular restaurant in Vegas you need reservations! Or you may be stuck eating with the fish fry squad (5pm or earlier) or after 9:30pm😂.
Some not all restaurants are on the Open Table app (free to download and use) and others go directly to the restaurants page for reservations.
Breakfast options we like:
Eggsluts (2nd floor Cosmopolitan, the line may be long but it moves fast, plus not a bad time spent looking at the Chandelier Bar)
Egghead (Proper Eats Food Hall on the second floor at the Aria)
Bardot Brasserie (2nd floor at the Aria, reservations needed. This is for the brunch option they offer, Friday through Sunday 9am-2pm, one word for this. AMAZING)
Lunch Options:
Hattie B’s (2nd floor Cosmopolitan) this place has the best chicken fingers and fries in town.
Crack Shack (next to Park MGM, amazing chicken options)
Eatly (inside Park MGM) our go to option for lunch. There is literally something for everyone here. Sandwiches, Pizza, Pasta etc. So good.

Dinner Options:
Dinner options in Vegas really depends on budget or how boujee you are.
We personally like going all out for dinners in Vegas because of all the culinary talent that is there, that we can not get back home.
Staples we love are:
Javiers at Aria. Some of the very best Mexican we have had. Reservations needed.
Border Grill at Mandalay Bay. Amazing Mexican as well and located by the Michelob Arena.
Carbonne. Located on the second floor at Aria. Probably one of the hottest and hardest to get reservations in all of Las Vegas. If you like Italian food, with world class service, this spot is for you.
Sparrow and Wolf: THIS RESTAURANT IS OFF STRIP. BUT SO GOOD! This is one of the top local spots in all of Vegas. Reservations needed as its very small. Amazing mixologists, and they serve some of the very best tasting steaks in all of the United States, due to where they obtain their meat. (Australia). Ask the server the story. If not DM us on instagram and we can get the bartenders name for you that told us that story. If you can sit at the bar and have David take care of you be prepared for one hell of an experience.
Golden Steer (slightly off strip, near Resorts World) How can you go wrong with the longest standing, most iconic steakhouse in all of Vegas? From table side made caesar salad, to Australian lobster tails, to mouth watering, table side cut steaks, to table side made banana foster? Bruh. Come on now lol.
Eatly (inside Park MGM) There is literally something for everyone here. Sandwiches, Pizza, Pasta etc. So good.
Catch at Aria. Reservations highly recommended. Amazing sushi and amazing grilled bbq octopus.
Water Grill at Caesars: If you are a seafood lover this spot is for you. Some of the freshest seafood in all of Vegas.
Honorable mentions: Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville (Flamingo), Brewdog look for sign, up high, across the street from Park MGM. Brewdog has one of the nicest views of the Las Vegas Strip as well.
Late Night Eats:
Secret Pizza at the Cosmopolitan (if you dont know, now you know)😂
Adult Libation/Beverages (21+)
If you are gambling you can drink for free at the Casinos.
Our top spots for drinks
Javiers (Margaritas)
Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville
Eatly (oval bar) when you walk in to Eatly from the casino floor its on the left. Highly recommend pineapple mules and espresso martinis. This is our go to spot before any UFC fight at T-Mobile arena. (You can carry drinks in plastic cup until you get to the front of the arena)
Sparrow and Wolf. Tell em what you like and let the mixologist go to town. Ask for David and say The Starched and Nithin sent ya.
Chandelier Bar 1.5 floor. Our go to spot post UFC fight. Classy, sophisticated and beautiful. Get the Verbena Cocktail and thank us later
Mandalay Bay Pool Bar: Blackberry Mules are amazing.
T-Mobile Arena and staff makes some of the best Captain and Cokes for us we have ever had. Sure its simple but during a fight it just hits different. Trust us.
In closing there is MANY options in Vegas for you. This list is just a starting point for you to enjoy and discover one of the greatest cities in the world.
